8 Months!
September 10, 2008
Happy 8 months, my sweet Billy Bean!

For fun, here’s the P-man when he was exactly 8 months old. At the time, he seemed so much older to me than Bailey does now. They do share the cheek chub thing, don’t they? And good golly, Parker’s head has always been huge! ![]()

What Comes After Monday? Toothday!
September 9, 2008
Bailey’s first top tooth broke through her gums today! (Nipples, beware…
)
Obtaining photographic evidence proved to be impossible, so you’re just going to have to take my word for it.

He May Wet the Bed, but at Least He's Clever.
September 8, 2008
I heard Parker wake up from his nap awhile ago. Usually, I can expect him to immediately burst down stairs and begin his post-nap assault of demands and chatter, but today, I heard him shuffling around upstairs for a good 20 minutes. Definitely not a good sign.
Just as I decided to investigate, he emerged at the top of the stairs. His flushed face and wide eyes spoke volumes. Oh, and the lack of pants and underwear.
“Mom. Hey Mom. Um…Mom? I love you. I think, um, I think..you know, kinda like, I was sleeping in the white bed, and my short pants got a tiny bit of wet, you know…. I took them off and put on the Diego underwear.”
“Parker, did you tee-tee in your bed?”
“No Mom. No, I didn’t.”
“Well why were your pants wet? Why did you take them off?”
“Mom, it’s OK. It was just nap sweat.”
Seriously, I dare you to try and maintain Angry Mom face when your kid busts out with a gem like that.

Wedding Wine
September 8, 2008
Matt and I agree that the best gift that we got at our wedding was from our friends, Adam and Gaurav. The clever boys gave us bottles of wine that corresponded with happy fun days in our lives together. We have had Adam/Gaurav wine on our first anniversary, the birth of our first child, and now for our 5-year anniversary. We still have a lovely bottle of red waiting for us when we reach 10 years. (now if that’s not incentive to stay together, I don’t know what is!)
THANK YOU, Adam and Gaurav, for such a badass and fun gift. We miss you both…come and see us!! You can hang out with the kids and get to know them and Matt and I will go to a bar. Please. We need a break.

Happy First Birthday, Carson!
September 7, 2008

Carson is one year old today! We had a ball at the birthday party – 325 of them to be exact. An inflatable ball pit in the living room, hot dogs, burgers, cake, and good friends…what more could you ask for on a Sunday afternoon? (OK, football and beer. Fear not, the Texans were on TV and the ice chest spilleth over with Bud Light. NOW you have your perfect Sunday afternoon.)

A slow start to the cake eating…

Which Josh decided to hurry along…

Carson wasn’t too impressed with the mess.

Or the clean up. :)

Lizard made all the boys matching ball shirts and Parker was thrilled.

And, of course, the birthday boy was not left out.

Cute kids come from hot moms and dads!

And for further evidence:

Happy, happy birthday, Carson! We love you!!
I am biting my tongue so hard it’s bleeding.
But let me just say that at the Jumping Party place today, I couldn’t help but feel a bit, um, obstentrical.

9.6.3
September 6, 2008
Once upon a time, there were two rather normal folks…

Who both knew a guy rockstar named Sam.

Once they were introduced, it took them awhile to warm up to each other.

But soon, they were able to overcome their shyness and discovered that they shared many of the same passions, such as a sophisticated sense of humor…

and a love for at-arms-length portraits.

Young love blossomed.![]()

And then one magical night…

led to another magical night…

that was filled with many magical moments.

They wasted no time in making their twosome a threesome.

And their phobia of odd numbers encouraged them to round out at four.
(Pssst. Six is an even number, too… I’m just sayin’.)

These five years have been pure magic. I adore my perfect husband. He is my baby, my buddy, my sunshine, and my prince. I LOVE YOU, my sweet Matthew. Here’s to five more!
Or at least four. ![]()
Seriously, how could I not love this man??
P-I-M-P.

New Socks With the Red Stripes
September 5, 2008
I think that this may fall under the “why ask for permission now when you can beg for forgiveness later” category. Sorry P-Bo, some pictures are just too fabulous to remain tucked away on my hard drive.

She's Back!!
September 4, 2008

I think that Bailey’s fever has finally “broken” and she seems to be in MUCH better spirits. Hooray!!
Now that’s something to shout about. :)

And let’s throw in a clap or two for good measure.
